It's a Whiteout! Snow beginning to fall across the Alps

It's official! Snow has begun to fall in the Alps which may mean that a bumper season is afoot.

The last few years have seen very little early-season snowfall meaning that resorts have been unable to build up a good base before the start of the season however, this weekend saw up to 40cm in some Austrian resorts.

Resorts such as Courchevel have even opened weeks ahead of schedule (with limited lift service) to make the most of the fresh neige.
